Day three. Travel to Europe.

So, I was right! Paris show me its another side. Paris in a beautiful morning light. That day we firstly went to the Louvre - a magnificent palace of French kings.

Well, now, as you know, it a huge museum which is famous all around the world. The Louvre is filled with different sculptures, paintings, furnishing. Unfortunately we had only two hours so we couldn't see many things in there. It was like little tour around histories of different countries... Florence, Italy, Greece, France... Works of art from different countreis impressed me. But then AGAIN 1 hour later and I was ready to start crying. There are two different points: walk yourself or stand next to EVERY sculpture and listen about its history and origine. Boring, isn't it? But if I compared The Louvre and the Versailles, the Louvre would win! This palace is fulled of mysterious, beautiful and intresting things. As for me I am intrested in French history so it was intresting for me to visit the palace which was full of intigue, of conspiracies, palace coups! Exactly in that place people lived for years and centuries!
Our next trip was to magnificent and wonderful temple of Paris - Notre-Dame de Paris. When I came closer I immediately thought about Westminster Abbey in London. Outside there are same (well, actually all templs of that Gotic period are alike so there is nothing strange in this situation). But there is a difference between all the temples of this sructure. You have other feelings, other emotions, other mood. Everything that surrounded us has affected. That was really cool. Magnificents stained-glass windows, sculptures. It was amazing actually.

And then I saw it! The symbol of Paris, the symbol of France - the Eiffel Tower! As long as I can remember myself I was always dreaming to see this strange monument. So sometimes dreams come true. You know, one of the famous French writers (Emil Zola) told that he hate the Eiffel tower. But once the journalist have found him in The Eiffel tower. So why did he tell that he hated it if he had dinner over there? His answer was simple: "It's the only place in Paris where I can't see this tower. It is funny, isn't it? But to tell the truth I am not actually agree with this point of view. This structure might not be in a style of 14-18 centures but nevertheless it is important for many people. We live in the 21st century, time of mordenity and modernism. No, I don't insist that we shuld get rid of other styles. But why is it strange to mix styles when it looks cool? It is to break but difficult to build. You can always throw out something. But it absolutely unfair to live like our ancestry lived. We should create new things, new styles and the Eiffel Tower was a step to the future. And in plus from this tower you can have a magnificent view of Paris!
So, the third day came to the end. The next day we will have a long and unforgettable trip to the Atlatic coast. But I am sure it will be worth of it!
